Hi i brought a omp strut brace with the part number MA/1608/G. I went to fit it and can't seem to get it to fit without removing the heater unit, so i just wanted to know if i got the right one and if i did how to fit it

All the same, crap fit for something that was model specific
I ended up trimming the corner out as well so it didn't deform the heater box and still sat correctly on the bonnet.

Bit awkward to do without some decent tools..but was hidden once it was fitted.

No problem.
Twins has some good close-ups of his in his resto topic (but can't find them) as he put an edging onto it as well to make it look neater. Same stuff as the door opening seal - the hard rubber seal next to the sill covers.

i trimed my heater box to fit mine, as above

then were the hole was on the box,
i got some 1,1/2 inch black wavin pipe, cut it down the middle to form a half pipe if ya get me.
Then used black silicone to glue the half pipe into my box,

Looks a factory job

Not the bast pic, but you can just make it out.
Il get some better pics tomorrow
