Yeah should be set as above for a stock engine running stock boost.

12degree is the very least advance you should have. Depending on boost and fueling etc etc.
IMO 12deg is the MOST you should have, most MFI RST's IME end up between 8-10deg of static advance when running reasonable boost (14psi+) on 95RON fuel.
