whats the ignition timing on a s2 rs turbo??

i set mine at 12dg's before tdc,like in the hanyes manual on cvh engine & it seems not as responsive?

so i was wondering is it different for rs turbo's to standard cvh??

It's the same 12, but with idle rpm (not 1000rpm) and with MAP hose disconnected and plugged.

There is more to setting the engine up to feel right than ignition timing fella.

12degree is the very least advance you should have. Depending on boost and fueling etc etc.

Yeah should be set as above for a stock engine running stock boost.
IMO 12deg is the MOST you should have, most MFI RST's IME end up between 8-10deg of static advance when running reasonable boost (14psi+) on 95RON fuel.
