What do I need to fit bucket seats and what ones fit best and wont foul on a cage.
Are there different size seats for larger blokes?
Was wondering if I could use side mounts bolted to the floor and cut out a shape in the mounts where that bar runs across the floor underneath the seats so that the mounts could sit flush to the floor and the seat would be as low as possible.

if u want slightly wider seats, sparco evos come in normal, L, XL etc, iv got evo L's and im a rather large dude!
also, the 1st time i mounted my side mount sparcos, i did them directly to the floor, and u dont need to cut the floor strengthening bar, i just butted my seat right up close to it, and i cud reach the wheel and pedals perfectly, im 6ft by the way just for a guide.
this time round iv modified standard runners so my sidemounts bolt to them, and allow some adjustment. means the seat is higher than it used to be, but i can move it exactly where i want it, and also see over the dash a bit easier

Yeah am 38 waist and over 6ft but when I have my helmet on it hits the roof so I need to lower the back rest to fit but then my arms are straighter to reach the wheel which is not ideal and thats using a momo wheel and adpator.
The standard recaros fit fine but would like something that holds me better and can be lower.
Do you guys have pics to give me an illustration of the setup?

1st of all excuse the monstrosity that is the colour coding on the dash, this is a very old pic

thats about the only pic iv got of when i 1st fitted my sparcos direct to the floor. as u can see i had to knock up some wooden blocks at 1st to support the back edge of the side mounts, as the floor falls away behind where the rear mount of a standard runner is. i had supports cast after i had them as i wanted. this way does keep the seat plenty low, and so long as your at least 6ft, i cant see u having a problem reaching the pedals, if your too close, u can move the seat away, just no closer due to the support bar

in them 2 pics u can kinda see the modified standard runners, havent got any better pics sorry. its basically got 2 steel plates about 1" wide running across the mounting points, and extending out slightly, to allow the sidemounts to bolt to them, as the seat is slightly too wide to fit directly to the runners

You can buy adaptor bars from a seat manufacturer (mine were from cobra), these bolt directly to the standard subframes which you then bolt the sidemounts to.....no cutting or fabricating needed and you can adjust the seat as standard.
The seats do sit a little higher though so maybe not the best if you want them on the floor lol.
Mine are for sale out of my rst, here they are out the car so you can get the idea of how the bars fit the standard subframe:
