1st of all excuse the monstrosity that is the colour coding on the dash, this is a very old pic
thats about the only pic iv got of when i 1st fitted my sparcos direct to the floor. as u can see i had to knock up some wooden blocks at 1st to support the back edge of the side mounts, as the floor falls away behind where the rear mount of a standard runner is. i had supports cast after i had them as i wanted. this way does keep the seat plenty low, and so long as your at least 6ft, i cant see u having a problem reaching the pedals, if your too close, u can move the seat away, just no closer due to the support bar
in them 2 pics u can kinda see the modified standard runners, havent got any better pics sorry. its basically got 2 steel plates about 1" wide running across the mounting points, and extending out slightly, to allow the sidemounts to bolt to them, as the seat is slightly too wide to fit directly to the runners
