Fuel Tank Breather

How would i go about clearing this?
when i go to put petrol in the car it starts to back up out the filler and i am led to beleive a blocked breather is the problem![Wall](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/wall.gif)

1. Disconnect the fuel filler pipe from the side of the car - one screw inside the filler cap holds it in place and another inside the rear arch - fairly easy to do and see if any of this is blocked
2. Failing that the only other breather is on top of the fuel tank and is normally attached to the side of the tank (see pic below) - its the black trumpet horn shaped pipe attched to the tank. The only issue with this is that you would probably need to drop the tank from the bottom of the car to gain access to the startof the pipe but is relatively easy to do.

Other than that there isnt much else to it really.
