Don't you love the Keyboard hero's on here...
ROB7656 - How do you know your TIM gauge was out by 3psi, when they read in BAR...?
ZippyObrien - How are they crap, they are calibrated like every other gauge?
I couldnt give a shit about your opinions on the gauge, i said "i don't know where to mount it" - maybe you can't read!

Muz & Puss - The stack dash/gauges really do look trick! Wish i could afford to stretch to them in mine!

Twins - Your dash looks cool, im tempted to bin the fuel comp and put some in there too. The subtle carbon backing set the dash off nicely!
Does your boost gauge on the steering cowling get in the way of the standard rev counter at all?

ROGEYBOY
there crap because there poorly made and innacurate, bine was out by 5 psi, the oil pressure gauge was out by 15, even the volts gauge didnt read right.

there cheap for a reason,
stack, auto meter, race tech and even auto gauge if your on a tight budget are the ones to go for

and if you can't use basic maths to convert psi to bar,
or work out your self were youd be able to see a boost gauge from the drivers seat then it probably doesnt mater what shite you choose to fit to your car,

good day to you

? No offence mate, but they are crap. I had one that was more than 3psi out, i used a MAP sensor, tyre pump and a multi meter to check it. And like most gauges you can normally get them is psi and bar. I'm sure they are calibrated... how well i don't know, the next problem with a budget gauge is STAYING calibrated.

That said, if you have one and want to use and want mounting ideas mine were here,

Bit messy as the car was mid strip down, the boost gauge was in the pillar mount, but will be where the other gauges are when it gets put back together.

Good luck

Rob,

Well ive never had a problem with TIM gauges, and mine certainly seems accurate enough when pressurised with my Mitivac.. maybe the calibration is out on that too...? I agree they are budget gauges and nowhere near as expensive as some other brands, but when mine seems accurate why change it?

ZippyObrien - Fair point about the maths on converting BAR to PSI, but why would you claim its 3psi out when it doesnt read in PSI, you'd claim it was out in BAR, surely? But then as you can't read you can't be expected to have any common sense either can you!

Still it doesnt change my point, i didn't ask for your opinions or even facts about TIM gauges i asked where to mount a boost gauge, IE where you guys had mounted yours to get some ideas...

RobDOHC - I like the pillar pod un yours, ive been tempted to put mine in the pillar but all the pods ive seen before look abit tacky. Where'd you get that from?

Demon tweeks mate, im getting a bit of a mixture. All are steppers and electric. Didn't go for the Pro (with the max record as i couldn't justify £500+ on gauges lol).

Mate you need to chill a bit. If yours is fine then fair play and good luck. Im happy you got a good one, in general most have had a sour experience, but as you say you were only asking for mounting options.

But you can't call people keyboard heros and say this
But then as you can't read you can't be expected to have any common sense either can you!
in the same breath with out sounding a bit silly.

My pod came with the car mate so i couldn't tell you where it came from. Im not that keen on them usually but didn't mind the one fitted in mine.

Rob,
