considered this jono ,

way i see it you got two choices

either get a cpl headrests , and with the cushions removed from seats allign them were you want them , find a bit of suitable diamater tube and weld it to the seat back
have your trimmer stich up a small hole

or , go by a cheap mk 5-6 esc rear bench , strip it , rob the mounts and slider tubes and do the same it you want them to function at diffrent heights and same again , give the trimmer the small black grommits that sit in the fabric and have them stiched in ,

beef

i did this to my rs about 12 years ago.
think i got some rear headrests from a orion iirc.
then fitted some brackets to the back of the seat and slid the headrest legs behind.
was a bit of a bodge from the back but you could do a tidy job.
think i used the little bracket like you get on a back gate sliding bolt.
the bit the bolt slides into lol.
did the trick

You'd be easier finding a mk5 /6 escort in a scrappy now than an orion, but every orion had rear head rests, even pov models.

their rear seat layout is different anyway incase you didn't know. but the holders twist 90 degrees then pull out. they help hold the top of the rear bench in place.

Cheers guys,
I remember doing this on my nova sri and the holes for the guides to go into were already in the rear seat, but under the foam and material, so i just cut a small hole in them and bought some front headrest guides from vauxhall to tap in.
I'll see what the trimmer recommends.

Cheers Jono.
