ah cheers i have the sandwich plate! i didn't know you could put it there, i was just going to run a cooler off it, but it has 2 extra threaded holes with blanking bolts in them. i've just tested it and it goes straight in. Cheers!

Yeah thats the correct way to do it, get a reading from oil fresh out the block that way ![](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile012.gif)
I had those exact gauges, accurate but poor build quality, very good for the money!
Oh be very careful not to over tighten the pressure sender wiring thumb screw, I did and the thread snapped clean off!

Jo, I've got a sandwich plate on mine (it's actually for feeding the oil cooler) but I've never managed to get a good seal on it and it always leaks. I'd be interested to see how well yours mates up!

Its for a differant size sender unit to what you have sometimes there smaller if they are you screw that in first and then screw the sender into the adaptor.
A little tip when i put my sandwich plate on the 3i i kept finding drips of oil down the back of the block and couldnt work out where it was coming from and it turned out it was from the spare holes i wasnt useing in it, took the bungs out abit of ptfe tape on them and fitted them again and it cured it
mark.
