hi lads,
planning on removing the 2 long metal fuel lines that run under the car alongside the brake lines tomorrow to paint them .
how easy are they to remove?
one seems to go into a black plastic pipe in the bay,is it a kind of push quick fit connection?
and do they come out easy enough as they seem to be a bit curvey and bendy at the bay end?
as always your advice is appreciated

theres a small collar just above the larger fitting, this needs to be pushed down and the pipe pulled out simutaneously. if you just pull the "bendy" fuel pipe the fitting will get tighter.
Its quite fiddly if you've never done it, and if it hasn't been touched in years but they usually put up a fight for a minute or two and then just pop off.

ive never managed to get that black plastic pipe off always ended up having to crack all the fitting, even when i had a brand new ford one on there. Gutting, could of sold it now ive gone to cossie management. Steve your prob best off leaving it on the line till the line is off the car, half the trouble i had with trying to get it off is your leaning right over into the bay and behind the engine with the front panel digging into your thighs. Nothing like a bit of pain when working on cars hey lol.
