The Cosworth rods are very heavy at 655 g each. Typical H beam forged rods are 535 g each. These rods were designed for lower rpm turbo use. The wrc engine was restrictor limited and 300hp @ 6500 rpm. I do however like the extra strength the heavier rod provides - and the cost was good too at $600.00 for 4.

Hi Rob,

I also can't believe what performance parts cost in the UK. I believe it is all hidden taxes before VAT is even added. Too many government sponsored social programs - the money has to come from somewhere.

It is quite cold here now. -15 degrees C. My garage is not heated so I will have to wait until March or April to put the engine together. I have started to work on base fuel and ignition timing maps for the Haltech ecu.

Cheers

Perry
