Default Dump Valves

OK im NOT starting a debate weather or not dump valve or chatter is the better sounding...just want to know what kind of dump valves people like to have that sound and perform nice....atm i have a le mans which not only sounds bloody shite but i think it has a leak ....

so what is the best soundin?? and what is the best performing??

1 person said to me baileys is the best one...but had no reason..

cheers

p.s. would be great if anyone had any sound clips or video clips of a rs turbo with some nice sounding exhausts and bovs...

Get any twin piston type, it will not leak. If you want a different sound, get one with a venturi/trumpet.

i think the best would be a Bailey DV26.No idling problems or running problems!sounds sweet aswell.there is a new one out with a `trumpet` on it which may sound different.

I currently have a Turbo Smart Supersonic dumpvalve. If its noise you want and as above tuneable then, Id say you cant go wrong with this one. Had the first Bailey twin piston d/v, just didn't have the same effect. Must admit when I first put it on I was disapointed as had spent £200 odd quid for a dump valve and was quiter than the Bailey, however after taking it to PTS for a tune they got the bloody thing screaming at me, so as I said if you want to be noticed then you cant go wtong with this. Gota ask yourself if you can warranty spending that sort of money on one.

You put washers in the top of it to put more tension on the spring

I do have one question does any get a unsual feeling of the car pulling to the left when building up big boost and then slowly taking your foot of the throttle. I know it sounds stupid but ive had 2 rsts and both have done it. It might be that my engine mounts have had it.

Torque steer check ur bottom bushes and replace them with stiffer items and the engine mountings, and get it tracked once u put new bushes on, you will never eliminate torque steer on a big power front wheel drive car tho!

my car has loads of torque steer aswel...been told wider tyres and a strut bar with polyflex's make a big difference to standard....but im planning on 230 bhp with that power i think a quaife diff will only be the thing to stop it going all over the show.
