Went to tidy the inside of the escort yest and the carpet was damp, it seems to have been leaking from around the windscreen rubber, is this common?
I don't think (at least i bloody hope) it rot as the sun roof/roof is so grot free etc, could it just need the rubber resealing?
Cheers

Rob,
easiest way i've always found is get some string about 1/8" in diameter, from the inside feed it under the rubber all the way around the screen. then as u pull the string working ur way around pulling the lip back as you go put some pressure on the screen pushing outwards. once the lip starts to fold back it gets easier the more you do.takes 10mins tops. hope it makes sense.
Just push on it while lipping the rubber over bit by bit but dont push to hard. To put it back in put the rubber round the glass put a length of cord or string (not to thin) around the lip that gos over the body but have some lopes in the cord one lver side and one at the top i do then lift the screen into the apetchure and pull on the lopes so the rubber lips over the apetchure do this bit by bit best to get both sides started then the bottom corners then do a bit of the top on both sides then id do the rest of the bottom then finish by pulling in the rest of the top. As u go along aswell lightly bang down on the glass to push it home. Go easy along the top as it can make a real mess of the head lineing!

Cool thanks very much, think i will leave it until summer in case there is any grot, don't really want to put the screen back in if there is and i can't be arsed to repair anything in the cold.
