Default over heating

hi guys, ive jusy changed my intercooler. i use to have a pro alloy double capacity intercooler with a standard fan, ive change it to an airtech front mount with two fans fitted to the front of the cooler and now it over heats. it only seems to over heat when im driving, if i pull over and leave the car running the temps settle down.

the fans seem to come on at the right time but the temps just keep get higher. would it make any difference if i put the fans between the rad and cooler.

Using alloy rad? Have you got fans on rad?

check the wiring to the fans as sometimes they can be wired to either blow air or pull air.

the msd fan switch works wonders so a defo buy.

my fans are on the rad itself and no issues what so ever

I have the same intercooler and had no probs. Sounds like the fans are back to front imo. Did you checkwhich way they were blowing before mounting them?

ive got a standard rad and the fans rotate clockwise. its just strange that the temps settle down when stationary and not when moving.

wen the fans are on ,stick your hand in the gap behind the intercooler and rad and make sure u can feel air.that will tell u if they are blowing in the rite direction, and after doing that strap the fans on the rad in the same gap mate, the intercooler doesnt need the air blowing on it,its the rad thats important mate,im sure this would cure your problem
