Default Those that have moved fusebox and/or battery tray

Thinking whilst car is getting welded up I may aswell whip these two out aswell, going cossie management so new engine loom can be made to size so only lights/horn/fans would need extending. Seen the other post on moving fuse box and reckon thats the way forward. Same with battery tray, condition is okay but may aswell get shut to smarten bay up. Know the areas arent very big so are people just plating over them or is there any cheeky panels that do the job nice?? Pics anyone....
thanks
Steve

the battery tray can come in two parts so u can weld it back in but not the bit the battery itself sits on if u get me!

but i see ur point and wish i had this idea as i have just had mine done and would of loved to move tha bettery into the boot! oh well maybe next time!

put up pics when u have done this id love to see what it looks like when done!

Why does everyone like moving battery to the boot? is it just to make engine bay clearer looking?

I realise in track cars its for weight distribution probably.

The tray itself will drill out. It has about 15 spot welds. If the panel underneath is clean just use that, mine had a bit of rot so i cut it out and made my own repair panel.

So, what do you do, just have really long power wires running down the car to the fuse box etc and the starter motor?

Muz, do you have any pics of how you've mounted the battery in the boot?
