Certainly not normal.... Have you checked for loose hoses/air leaks etc?

yh all hoses seem to be ok could it be because i have connected it to metering unit as a standered breather kit was connected to it

Any time you change anything on an MFi engine it will need another tune and setup. Read the guide i have written up for DIY'ers.

If your venting to atmosphere then you have just created a big air leak, on MFI this will make the revs drop and maybe even stall, on EFI this will make it rev higher like opening the throttle a little or the ICV.

Yes but MFi can go out of sync by opening the drivers door

If your talking about oil seperator tank then yes this rev increase happens.i had the same happen.the small vaccum hose that should go from left side of inlet to the back of oil seperator needs to be only few mm wild inside.too big will increase revs.or you could just block both ends.

Did you use the correct fitting lit i.e. Baileys? Or had you bodged it hence the air leak?

Yeah,i got plastic adaptor too,so i could run smaller hose than what the seperator took, just to get the revs down.shorter the hose helps too.did you keep the one way valve that originally went to the old breather? Turn the idle valve in slightly to help. When this happened to me,took me awhile to get my head round it.if you need pics, let me know.

Basically your giving the metering unit more air to play with, hence the rev increase.blocking the breather hose to the metering unit would also be a option.nothing to worry about.

Ok mate.ill take some tomorrow for you.im currently using the method of having the metering unit blocked,as since i fitted that oil seperator i notice more oil going into the metering unit,as was used alot during summer period.currently have breather filter on it until i get the dosh to add a catch tank.
