Default Please Help :(

OK people i have had alot of probs with my car since i bought it but its now running ok (ish) its got a vernier pully along with a kent cam fitted which when we had probs with running we set the vernier to in the middle (got told this will be std setting) also the dizzy was changed due to being broken so anyway long story short i have taken the car for a drive went ok but opened the bonnet to see the hole manifold and turbo glowing red in a big way and even driving the car off boost it still gets rather red/orange i tryed retartding the timing thinking it may be too advanced but still the same really and the car is getting slower and slower where its being retartded so what else can this be ? anything to look at ? what about vernier who can set this up?

High EGT's can occur with too much ignition retard as you are igniting the mixture closer (time wise) to the exhaust valve opening, too much cam advance may also do it.

Lean mixture will do it,

I suspect you have a combination of the above and should take it to a tuner for a set up, as they will set ignition timing, cam timing and fueling.

Good luck

Big +1!
Take it to a reputable tuner, in the mean time set your vernier to 0 (middle), your igntion timing with a strobe to 10deg BTDC, and your boost as low as you can.
These are 'safe' settings until it's setup properly
