the mechanical drive fits in the top of older mtx boxes the newer ones have the sensor mounted in the side by the o/s drive shaft

what about the rs2000 mk5/6 did these not have a diff or be better for the conversion as i got to do gearbox thank you

Does anyone know for sure if the Focus RS MTX Torsen diff will take the speedo worm gear properly when mounted in an Escort mk5 MTX casing?

focus rs's came with quaife atb diffs not torsen and use a hall sensor for pick up not a gear

thought torsen, atb and quaife were all the same thing? the diff will fit all mtx casings, you will just need to change the crownwheel.

I know it has the magnetic speed pick up as standard. That was the very reason I asked if the diff will take the worm gear instead.
