please help repiping brakes.
right guys ive removed the abs modulators and got the front pipework and compensators from a non abs mk4. does anyone no weather the new pipework i need to make for the rear goes a certain way like the old cross system does on a standard s2 rs?? any help much appreciated, nick

I've been making brake pipes today actually lol, tbh its probably just as easy to make up two pipes bypassing the abs modulators, the rs is diagonally split, so the t piece on the passenger side feeds to the N/S/F and the O/S/R and opposite for the other side.
Im not sure about non rs cars, im using a front rear split system with a bias valve, but others like Puss are (i think) keeping the diagonal split with a mk5 escort in line compensator to each rear brake.....

cheers for the replies guys they kinda help. im using the non abs master cylinder off a xr3i that has the front brakes piped up streight from the master cylinder and then 2 to the compensators on the osf inner wing, i need to no if they should split in any particular way to the rear out of the compensators. any help on this appreciated cheers, nick

beaver i have the same set up as u mate altho my cars not been on the road yet so couldnt say how well they work. Rob- with the non abs set up the master cylinder has 4 outlets and so the fronts are fed directly from this.

ill have alook tommrow and try and draw a daigram where the pipes go for you if thats anyhelp
