Hi iv had a problem with my Speedo not reading anything (intermittent at first) i have tried eliminating problem. have checked dial is working (turning top half of cable to move dial all ok) a garage has checked bottom connection for me, looks to be connected with plastic cog intact aside from an issue inside gearbox i only have 1 option I can think of and tats replacing the lower Speedo cable but.. I can’t find one in stock anywhere tried usual ebay, google, matt louise motorsports, local parts dealer, even ford all which Say we will call you back (never do).although I have one on order from ford for the past 2 weeks now it could take up to 8 weeks? Any help or advice on the problem or acquiring new or replacement OEM part welcomed, thanks for your time

Your local motor factors will sell them, at least mine does, have to buy comlplete cable though cant get it in seperate bits.

yea tried can only get top part just rang local they can get anything usualy. not good but it is a two piece cable defo they had the top piece as everyone does but no bottom not even on there system going mad. anyone suggest custom speedo cable builders?

doesnt worn diff bearings cause this aswell? Hope it is just the speedo cable mind.

Have actually checked the plastic cog? Lift it out and inspect the its gears teeth.
