If your fitting it yourself then get a wet kit, ideally you want direct port injection too for more accurate/even distribution accross all 4 cylinders, buy direct from a WON dealer I wouldnt monkey about with second hand kits NOS can kill your engine too easliy if something is not working correctly!
I looked into this a while back and it's only money that stopped me from going any further, I got a price of around £600 but this was a dry kit without a controller as my ECU has NOS control.
See no reason why good results cant be achieved, so long as your pistons and rods can take it of course!

Its easy to install and the amount of difference it makes is staggering.
The only downside is the cost of the gas itself.

But you wont believe its the same car if you stick 50bhp of gas into your RS turbo, the difference is unreal!

There is a forum for wizards of nos, have a look on there for inspiration:
http://www.forum.nitrous-advice.org/

As you are in bracknell which is near where I work during the week (im near J1 of the M3 so literally 2 junctions down the road), I'm quite happy to give you a hand fitting it if you like, providing you dont mind it happening on my terms with regards to what evenings etc
I can get discount on the kits as well as Ive been a wizards customer for about 15 years now and done loads of group buys etc although not done one recently.

Always fancied NOS on mine with a proper controller. Intresting to see yours come together if you go for it. Dont know chip presonally but would definately be my first port of call on the subject

If you look at the prices on the website they are ex VAT, but normally I can buy them Inc VAT for about the same as they are displayed there as I get dealer discount essentially even though im not a dealer, just because Ive bought as many kits as some of the smaller dealers have, plus Trevor "wizard of nos" Langfield is a long standing personal friend of mine anyway.

A minimax controller would be fine for what you are doing, and they retail at 259+VAT
http://www.noswizard.com/product_desc.php?id=4

Although the max extreme is of course better and retails at 369+VAT at the moment (normally 399) so the price difference isnt massive, but the unit itself is a lot bigger so it depends how you are fixed for space to mount it
http://www.noswizard.com/product_desc.php?id=115

the kit you want is a single port streetblaster 100i, and they retail at 489+VAT
http://www.noswizard.com/product_desc.php?id=59

You'll also need some additional jets not supplied in the kit which are 10.21+VAT
http://www.noswizard.com/product_desc.php?id=37

You'll probably need 2 of those, but we may be able to reuse the nitrous jet from your kit as the fuel jet when we up the power in which case you will only need one, depending on what your fuel pressure is etc, as its all about getting the right ratio between the two jets.

I ran a streetblaster 150i on mine with no controller and 25bhp of gas and it gave a very nice spread of torque in the mid range!! Always fancied a 50bhp shot but feared my gearbox would not take it given the amount of torque it would off produced especially without a controller.

Like chip says the only down side is the gas gets expensive when you have to keep topping up!!

Ive since broken my car for parts and the kit is forsale and theres a forsale post in the parts room. Comes with everything to suit a RST and a pressure gauge and a throttle position switch as opposed to a micro switch.

Also got pictures of the installation if anyone needs help with an installation.

Cheers.

Rsmark, if you buy a secondhand kit, the solenoids can be cheaply sent off to be rebuilt if they have suffered from any sort of abuse (not saying they have gary!) so secondhand kits can be a reasonable option in that respect.

The problem normally is the pipes being cut to the wrong lengths etc, but if its off an RST anyway, it will probably be fine.

Having just been and looked at garys advert, I think that would be a great place for mark to start.
Thats definately a recent kit, I can tell that from the bottle and solenoids etc.

He could use it with 25bhp non progressive initially too, and then easily add the controller at a later date.

I'd be happy enough running 50bhp at higher rpm without a controller on a CVH, but at low rpm its best avoided.

Make sure that your fuel pump is up to the extra demands that will be placed upon it.

also does it matter that im running gotech mfi....

and a quick spec of the car im thinking of using it on.....
1600 low comp steel bottom end
stage3 big valve head with larger ports than normal stage 3....
high lift cam but changing to newman phase 4 and solid lifters...
airtech manifold/ custom down pipe
stage3 nms spec t34 with .48
gotech management
grey 403 injectors
airtech front mount and rad and breather ect
..

im getting the following to finish the spec aswel...
jamsport inlet and cosworth throttle bodie
jamsport manifold
newman cam and solid lifters
decent boost controller
uprated fuel pump from matt lewis for rs turbo.

would nitrous suit this spec of car
