does my cam pulley need modding for cosworth management?

the phase sensor is to tell the ECU when piston 1 is at TDC so it knows when to fire and spark, so to answer question yes it is needed, especially on a lvel 6 and 1 ecu. on a level 8 it goes into limp mode which is the phase/cam sensor fails it will allow the engine to run to get back safely, i think it guesses where tdc is somehow.

There are many people that sell the setup, got jano@oddkiddcreations, I'm pretty sure gadget does the setup can't think of anywhere off the top of my head. What it usually is is a sierra crank pulley with 4 lugs, one of these I have sale, and also the alternator needs moving slightly to accomadate a different belt. Or there is a disc that you can have which bolts on top of the original v pulley, or can do what I have done which is weld on 4 lugs onto the v pulley. With regards to the cam sensor need 2 lugs at 90 degree's to eacch other, this can once again be a custom made disc which bolts infront of the cam pulley, or many setups which didn't work for me is a disc with 2 lugs that sit behind the cam pulley

I've had some v.nice bits made my a mate of Twins for my cam pulley setup, reasonable price too
The guy who actually made them is on here but i cant remember his name![Red Faced](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)
As for the 4 lug pickup on the crank pulley, ive used a 1.8 sierra CVH bottom pulley and trigger ring (chopped the lugs off the std 36-1 ring to leave 4 lugs on it), used the bottom part of the sierra cambelt cover as its got the sensor mount in it and used a sierra alternator bracket and alternator(and sierra belt!).
As mentioned you'll need to mod either the alternator bracket or space the bottom pulley out to get it to all line up nice then Bobs your mothers brother!

TDC is determined by the CPS, the phase sensor provides 'sequential' fueling.
Andy, the phase sensor is mounted in the dizzy, it does not use a pulley!
