Default ZVH question

I have just returned to RS ownership with a mk4 S2 Escort RS turbo, its a bit of a project for the winter.

Also I have just aquired a Ford Escort Si 1.6 zetec. Is this any good to use for a zvh conversion or does it need to be 1.8 or 2.0 version.

Just thought if it can be done I have the complete car so should have most parts I need.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks Peter

Yes I thought that would be the case. Is there anything worth keeping from the mk6 escort that you can think of?

use a 1.8, exceptionally simple, mine was very good, n/a grunt when pulling off then turbo to push you along

if you want to run it about 14psi or less just convert and done, leave pistons etc std, then drive nice that way, big power and go full zetec but its just hassle in the real world huh
