Has anybody moved there fans so that they are mounted on the back of the radiator rather than on the front of the intercooler or inbetween the rad and I/C?
Just in the process of fitting my radtech front mount to the 16i and really dont want to cut the front panel. I have moved the rad tight up to the i/c and this would allow me to fit a pair of 7 or 8inch fans to the rear without catching the turbo.
Main concern is the heat from the turbo melting the fan housing. Manifold /turbo and downpipe will be heatwrapped.

Has been done, ive seen a few where the fans are offset away from the trubo to avoid the heat, dont know how affective they are though sorry.

Plenty of people with them in between the rad and IC, just requires a bit of fiddling I believe.
