hi there any tricks to setting this up finding it a bit of a bitch

takes 2 people lol if you find center of the stick then get soneone to lock it up at that then small movement from there



they take a bit of getting used to lol

well i had it a few months now and the selector rod was fucked so brought a new one today from ford and now its so tight its missions on my own lol... when i changed it there seems to be nothing inside no springs or nowt i suppose its all in the blue bit lol...

1st car I just used the method in haynes put the gearbox and gearstick in reverse then tighen up
2nd car left all the rods attached to the gearbox
both seem good to me

if you look at the shaft coming out of the gearbox it has a hole in it put a punch through this and hold it so the hole is vertical, then set the rod so that the rectangular knuckle is perfectly horizontal bobs your uncle

it took me a few hours to get mine sorted.

minute adjustments everytime, sometimes i'd just slacken off the nut and do it straight back up again and it'd be different.

its worth it though.
