Default Various problems!

I'm almost sick of my rst,I've replaced everything, saved it from the crusher but it still won't give me a break!on the way to the mot station while sitting at the lights some smoke came from the exhaust, then again at the next set.the turbo is a turbo technics unit.the cars been sat doing nothing for 2 years so maybe the seals have went hard?can you buy rebuild kits and rebuild them at home?
Next problem,I'm on my third spring kit,the new eibachs sat too high, the -40mm apex kit sat too high now the spax -40mm kit has totally slammed the front and made the rear sit high,3 fingers between the tyre and arch and at the front 1 finger.it looks wank and I'm not impressed.anybody else have this prob?I don't mind the car being low but I want it low all round.anybody else had this prob with spax springs?ta,lee

So its smoking and not sitting at the right hight ? i wouldent really call that to much of a problem really.

get some coilovers if you that worried about the hight and i wouldent asdvise trying to rebuild your own turbo just send it away. or just buy a second hand unit they go for cheap

you could rebuild your own turbo at home but you wouldnt be able to balance it wich is the important part lol

thats what i thought, but i read briefly on here last week about a guy with a t3 who rebuilt it at home and it worked ok.these probs are the tip of the iceberg,i have spent the past 7 weeks almost every weekday welding, cleaning, refurbing everything apart from the engine.i cant get a solid brake pedal after fitting cossie discs all round but im away to ditch the abs,im on my 3rd spring kit so im hacked off at having to change them to get the lowered stance that is claimed by the manufacturer.and i dont like the steering,im unsure if the rack is goosed.its been a pain from start to finish but im almost there.

the seals in the turbo are metal, almost like a piston ring so length of time its been sat shouldnt effect it.
