anybody have a close up picture of there windscreen rubber for a S2 - had autoglass out twice now and they have bought out the wrong rubber twice now. need it asap so i can sort out for them to come out again tomorrow

p.s is the rear screen seal the same as the front?

 

i dont understand why they have brought you the wrong rubber twice.why cant they not use the original rubber.

failing that autoglass get glass supplied by laddows and they have most rubbers in stock and im sure when i went to do a screen on an s2 i got a new rubber.

 

The answer to this question is:- they are stupid, they bought me one with the option for a chrome insert to which i told them it was wrong, they then turned up today with a completly different one. They cant use the old one as it fell apart when the old screen came out months ago. how may different types of rubbers are there?

yes all mk4 front screen rubbers are the same if its just the plain black/solid rubber

that pic looks like a mk3 rubber..a mk4 has 2 lines in it all the way round..best way i can describe is a bit like tyre tread lines but straight.. have a look for the bottom corners of the rubber..that will tell you if its front or back..mk3 will fit mk4 though

don't forget that what ever rubber they bring will be a pattern part so will be possibly different to an original

They are useless fucks! lol
Had them out a few times myself.... First rubber was split and then the second time it was the wrong rubber, they brought the one that has an insert in the middle but didnt bring the insert!

 

they also bought me the one with the insert - without the insert.

it also looked like it had been sat at the bottom of the shed in a puddle, it was bright orange and green.
