Default Amal valve clicking with hearts ecu & msd chip

Hi

Last weekend I tried to fit a Diamonds & Hearts Ecu with Motorsports Development chip on my Rs turbo, and I notice that amal valve was doing a continuous "clicking noise" after turn on key.................

Is it normal??
Any one know if Ecu or Msd chip is faulty??

Hi, Continuos clicking means the ECU is reporting boost so it could be either the chip or the ECU. To find out which, cut the orange and blue wires and connect them together at the ECU END. this will leave the ecu as per factory.

Hi Stu

I did what you told me and seems to be a problem with the chip.
I had test the diamond & hearts ecu without the chip on it and the amal valve didn´t make the "cliking noise" after turn on the key.
Will try to fit the chip on other Ecu I have with code BLUE RED BLACK same as original code of my RST ecu and will post here the results.......

Hi Stu

Finally, seems to be a problem with MSD Chip.................
After refitting chip to another Ecu, the amal valve back to make "clicking noise" again.....

Maybe the chip can be repaired.......

I have just send you a P.M.

Many thanks.
