Default clutch pedal/cable

Hi all,

Clutch cable snapped the other day, so I brought another from burtons. Upon comparing old and new i found that old one had an adjuster (nut and thread) at the gearbox end, whereas the new one didnt. Should it have one?

Also the clutch pedal side, there is no quadrant - i think the previous owner had removed? is this wise, the pedal did feel pretty dead previously.

Cheers

Dave

sounds like the one removed was not for an ERST unless an aftermarket type is available.

You should not need an adjuster with a std engine and box setup.

yeah, thats obviously why they used the adjustable cable. Not a bad idea if it works right.

Got any pics of the cable?

You have two options..

1. try find the cable and refit as it was if it was working right to start with.

2. Fit std cable and quadrant as it should be, althought a pain under dash boards if your not confident fitting the quadrant.

afternoon all,

I'm looking to convert my clutch pedal, using the alloy quadrant and mk5 pedal, is this pedal in the link below suitable for this mod?

Cheers
