Default How should a RST be painted and finished

Morning all.
Hows should a Rst be finish in paint, solid colour paint finish, or a base and laquare?
Dont worry im not doing the painting!
I'm just off to see someone that I may give them the job of doing my car.
Its just I know fuck all about painting.

cos most rst's have flat pastel colours all laquer will do is just protect just laquered finish is what should be done, 1 coat primer prep another coat primer prep 2/3 coats top coat fine rub down for super smooth finish 2 coats laquer

Sorry Ginger, dont know If I cant read properly being still sleepy, but are you saying the best finish is to laquared? I want the best finish but to look as standard.

Yes get it laquered up, will protect the paint and help with not fading

didnt the original paint have a bit of stone chip mixed in on the bottom section of the doors below the swage line or am I way off the mark?

I thought that was just orange peel they couldnt se bothered to buff out
