Default Fuel pump

Guys i got a new fuel pump for the s2 as i was doing the underbody resto and it seems really loud you can hear it buzzing when driving along?

Surely thats not how it should be? I dont remember the old one being as loud have i been unfotunate and got a duff one?

dont think you should be hearing that when driving

when i put my pump in the boot of a stripped out racer, no interior etc.... i could defo hear it, but you shouldnt really

i've had a few that you can hear when driving along, i've had to listen carefully though.
just a gentle buzzing nothing more.
my 971 pump in the boot of my xr2 is noisier than the rst was.

when my pump started buzzing the fuel pressure dropped at 4.8 bar. So i changed the pump with a 2wd cossie one and now i can't hear anything..

Hmmm its defo louder than it should be imo

You dont have to listen carefully to here it you can hear it over the sound of the mongoose exhaust and we know how load they are.

Also it hesitating when doing about 35-40 mph wanted to take it to central day but dont want to risk a calamity

think you may have a duff pump dude. get it changed i say. better safe than sorry.

i got a pump off shitbay 2 mths ago found out it was pants was only running 4.0 when it should be over 6.0

Iwont be using the car again until i have sorted it out.
It was a proper bosch one so hopefully just unlucky i got it

I got a genuine 044 and its noisey as fuck, quite annoying I've been told its the carbon brushes? i've got a feeling the inlet is too small so going to change the pipes to bigger ones and see if it makes any odds, obv that wont be your problem though

Have taken the pump off and given it a shake can hear somthing loose inside.
Has now been sent back so should be sorted
