car holds back on boost, will rev fine on the spot and sounds nice but as soon as turbo spins up at around 3000 revs (at the point its suposed to kick in hard) it holds back and makes a kinda backfire burble noise and wont accelerate through it?
the only second hand parts on the car are,

turbo (slight play in shaft to be expected)
acctuator (-31 good tension)
amal valve has a little plastic restrictor type bung on c side of it.
camshaft
dizzy

everything else is new, any ideas????

Sounds like your dangerously lean!! Get it setup mate before you ruin your engine mate
Your amal valve should have a pipe going from the C to the turbo, the R goes to the metering unit, and the W goes to the actuator.

as i said everything is new , been set up and is running well, metering head is refurbed and fueling timing etc has been done, strange

Take it back to whoever set it up mate, let them have a look over it, defo sounds like your running lean though.

If cam wear was that bad it wouldnt idle mate.
Take it back to who set it up because it isnt running well is it! lol
