Hi, my mate at work is quite handy at welding and my sills need welding and so does a bit near the nearside front lower arm, both sills and the bit at the front are small holes about 1p size.
is there any advice/tips people could give me when cutting out rust and welding plates on? any good sealant to use to stop it coming back etc?
thanks in advance

obviously cut the rust out untill you have got a nice clean edge to weld to other wise it will just keep coming back and your weld wont take properly, cut your patch so it fits in the hole youve cut an weld it in,if you dont want the patch to be visable take care in making sure the piece your welding in is flush then weld in,grind back the weld as chances are it will sit slightly proud rub it down and as long as its a flush fit you will only have to give it a SKIM of filler flat it back as for sealant id always go for 3m under seal then primer and paint.
hope this helps.
