I was having a poke around the back of the block on my project car and ive just noticed a hose id completely forgot about it comes off under the back of the inlet manifold it looks like it would go to the oil cooler but seeing as ive got a zetec bottom end ive not fitted it due to space issues so my question is can i just "T" this hose into the heater pipe work as i presume it needs to drain some where ?

Ps ive not had the engine running yet im still putting bits together in the bay hence why ive only just noticed this hose.

 

I've just removed my oil cooler on the cvh

just run a new hose from the inlet manofold to the T piece on the offside rear of engine bay

 

So the little hose that comes off the main hose from the rad to the water pump goes to sensor block on the left hand side of the inlet manifold then the hose that comes out the other side of the sensor block T's into the one out the bottom of the inlet manifold and goes to the heater matrix ?

I know its abit vague saying the sensor thing but this will be my first rs engined car so im still learning what everythings called lol

 

from that sensor that the hoses go to where 1 carries onto the oil cooler connect it to the inlet where the other hose from the cooler attaches
