think something must of gone wrong as by now had plenty of time to post results on here, maybe it pulled it's self into a ditch or with such a small power band there still on their way to dd rollers but i'm sure we'll all be looking out for the number plate at central day if he is brave enough to use it in anger, p.s rick seen your car over at garric44's the other day looks like a nice motor you got there

d4, I hope you take my banter and constructive criticism on face value, I'm not trying to fall out with you.
However, I can only assume it didn't make the power on the DD dyno, hence not posting the results. I'm with Adam, above. I think it may have scraped 300bhp at the flywheel, 260 ish at the wheels.
Prove me wrong fella. I hope we can catch up at the Pod and have a decent chat, its all just forum banter, but my intentions are good, I'd love to see you make the power you want, but I won't bow down and just assume it's the claimed power without proper proof.
I hope that makes sense.

d4 rst surely you know what happend on the run? dont see why you cant tell us? if it didnt make 300 then so be it at least you can now work towards it with a good understanding on what to change/setup.

i think the guy has just taken you all on a big ride and is pissin himself at all this. tbh am sure nobody will lose sleep over it and honestly id love it if the guy turns up at the pod with a true 300 bhp rst

I would love to see act temp from a road run with that chargecooler. I can't help but guess its more 230@wheels held 1.6 bar@peak power.
It would be even more lazy on the road then the graph suggests due to it having more load on the rollers...too small a power band for my liking.
If it was me i'd do a stage 3 T3 on good condition bottom end, nothing wilder then a standard cam or cvh34 and a 50-60bhp jet of nitrous. That will do pretty much 300bhp on a budget.

Doesn't look good for anyone involved in the car tbh......we were told the car was going on a set of dd rollers and the results would be posted! Oh well, i won't lose any sleep over it, i certainly won't be copying his spec anyhow
Hopefully you'll be up the pod laying down some 12's

well all i can say is i feel sorry for d4rst.... cos if it didnt make what he wanted it is a bit gutting after all the hard work, ive been there i built the mk2 flatfront aspirated cosworth on here late 2008 and i was banging on that it would be 230bhp ect and it turned out that the head i brought had been ported wrong and made 199bhp and wouldnt run right and was getting contact for the valves and pistons.... then i had to spent another Ł1500 to do another head ..... its a horrible feeling made worse when people are watching..
but it is a bit the owners fault for over estimating and as said i done that before and wont do it again.. cos even after doing the second head it only made 218bhp lol

it was normaly aspirated and i had it built for the road so it only revved to 7500rpm so was very torquey it had twin 48s ect .... and a stanard head on carbs wont make nothing like that power trust me ive tried .... more like 150bhp and plus the standard cams wont even have a kick its flat and doesnt even rev properly .
i had it fully ported to 28.5mm ports both sides both manifolds matched and 1mm bigger valves both sides, custom cams and solid lifters fully shimmed up adjustable pullys and then had the head and block decked to raise the compression and on top of that i had to have bigger cut outs in the pistons,
then to top it off the brand new oil pump packed up when the carbs were being set up lol

lol it was great fun as it had a sierra 5 speed and a 4.4 diff so it was rapid on acceleration because it only had to rev like a normal engine and still made more power than your normal n/a cosworth ..... i could have changed the cams and got like another 10/15bhp but i would have to rev the thing another 2500rpm to get it ..

tbh D4, I'm notreally bothered if it does 300 or not (although I'm sure it will be a very quick car regardless). It's the fact your tuner has claimed 360+ which has never been dyno proven before. Hope to see it at central day
