Default S2 RST running problem

hi everyone, im new to site but hopeing someone can help, i recently bought my 3rd rs turbo and i have had nothing but problems, were to start?

car will start for 4 maybe 5 seconds then dies, but will start everytime and then cut out, unless i hold the flap down on the fuel and air metering unit, if i hold the flap down i can get the car running mint but if im a mm too much or too less it runs like crap and after 5 mins of running it becomes a struggle to keep her running, also the only other way to keep running is by keeping the rpm above 2k

if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate any help thanks

does sound like it could do wit a set up but check their is no air leaks any where eg any split pipes as that could cause the same problem

ive tried setting the mixture screw and setting that up but doesnt seem to matter what i do to it, it just doesnt want to idle, i got the car idleing mint just twice, but then when i went to rev the car it ran like crap, so then i ended up with it reving up great but not idleing, its like it only wants to do one or the other and not both, if this gives any ideas of my problem, lol thanks

and does anyone know any good mechanic/tuner in or near hartlepool

you dont want to mess around with the mixture screw sounds like a good set up or air leak meterunit could have seen better days is your fuel pump running 12v

spent the day on it, got it running fine now just needed a little tune up on the mixture, i read up on it and found out that if the flap needs pushing down it needs more petrol and i thought it needed more air so obviously that was the problem right there (me) lol, cheers
