Exclamation engine

now about to bolt the head back down and realised i have missplaced the 2 guides that fit in the block and am curious to know if they are required or just to hold the head in place to bolt the head down

Yes you need them, called locating dowels, and you can get them from ford still, FINIS code:6022498 i believe.

Accurate location of gasket on block, gasket/head on block. Your engine will probably run but your HG will fail quickly, with out them it is possible to get the head on squiff (if thats even a word).

tryed tellin my m8 he needed them wont have it wanted to ask you lot. thank god id all read put mine back together he would have nicked them lol
