Git a 1600i rocker cover for my car which i have had powder coated.Wanted to check with you guys if it will fit straight on as when you look underneath it has a divide running through the middle so is on to halves where as the standard one doesnt? Also it only has a breather outlet on the rear right not on the left so would i need to add one?

Cheers buddy, what is the reason for the 1600i one being divided up into two halves?

Will i need to get a breather drilled onto the left hand side also?

there are 2 holes for the breather on the 1600i rocker cover ones on the centre and one on the end i have not added another hole for the breather.
here's a picture to show what i mean.

the two silicon hoses at the back are connected and go off to the breather.

need to remove the middle breather and re-route the charge carrier think there is a small breathe to weld up 2 did mod one up for my old s2 but never used it

yes thats right, if your going to use the charge carrier across the top of it!

need to remove the middle breathe anyway from what i can remember becase it will sit right up to the inlet. i have one all done somwhere ill find it so i can see how i modded it. think i removed the middle breather and some of the top fins behind the ford motorsports badge

cost alot to refurb so why not buy a working second hand one?

When you turn your rocker over does it have two channels that the centre breather runs to tho?

they do fit but i think weather or not they fit straight on depends on what inlet manifold you use, i use a 16i inlet as well and mine fits straight on

not on this car ,will fit straight on use the breathers that are there will look 100 times better with 1600i rocker on it mate

just under the middle breather there is a tiny outlet anyone know what this is supposed to go to

i'v got mine going to the inlet manifold as there is an outlet for it, got the right hand 1 to the block, middle one to the breather pot, then the tiny 1 in the middle going to the inlet manifold, failing that just blank it off.

just had 1 blocked off mate as you dont need both.

But surly then the other side of rocker wont have a breather as its in 2 sections aint it.

from what i can rember the centre ones are the same side.

a propper one will fetch silly money if its in good nick, just get 1 off a volkswagen engine, that'll do the job untill you can find a propper one.

Thats what i thought but its not, the centre breather just goes to the channel in center of rocker.

Is there an advantage to using the RS16i inlet as apposed to the standard turbo charge pipe and inlet?
