Pictures and advice wanted for rst buyers guide
Hi all,
I am going to put together a buyers guide for any potential owners etcetc, so if any of you could post up pictures of problem areas especially rust etc, where to check and what to do that would be great!
Would also love a price range from shit box to minter......
Any advice for new owners would be handy too.
Cheers

My personal way of testing sills:
Unclip the rear inner side panel (the bit where the front seat belt comes out of and the rear ashtray is located). Put your hand down into the sill... 9 times out of 10 it will feel like reaching into a packet of crips...

ive got loads of pics of my old rusty shell before i had it restored not in any order but the pics of the car show it actually looked quite clean before you start poking around, theres pics of before, then of the rust in all the key areas and pics of the work just so you can get an idea of what needs to be done to make a rusty shell a good 1, hope they help, note all of the rust damage had to be uncovered all the metal was in place when i bought the car the pics make it look bad but thats after i had poked it all through just gos to show how bad they can get,

no mate not much lol still got that shell its freshley painted now just havent got round to doing anything with it but theres 100% no rust in it now i cut absolutly everything out might sell it under alot of peoples standards as never been welded hahaha i think tbh tho the only way to have a true mint shell is to restore one yourself, only reason i restored that was because i view 6 other that where all mint apparently and none of them where up to a standard that i wanted i gave 1200 for that car complete with history and low milage years ago and it was a good runner, so didnt mind doing the work at least i know now that its all been done properly, if i sell my current turbo now which is actualy "mint" ill probs do something with this, been toying with cutting the floor out and putting mondeo 4x4 running gear on it but we will see
