wrapping the manifold is a right pain in the arse. theres a bolt hole in the middle at the bottom which is impossible to get to afterwards and its also really hard to do a neat job.
i did mine and it didn't do much but after i took it off and wrapped my downpipe after the turbo until past the gear selector it made a difference tun underbonnet temps on mine. Some people will tell you about cracking the manifolds too, but i dunno bout that. never had a prob when mine was done.

as said though, start off with a double wrap around then go on an angle, go about 50% the way across the width, that way every bit gets wrapped twice.

when i did mine, i found it easier to start about an inch away from the flange and wrap once the wrong way then go back up the manifold, then the end of the wrap is hidden under the rest and it looks neater, boy did my arms itch though
