this is a picture of a wossener piston:

and this is what they look like in the block:

wossensers come with a standard comp ratio but you can have them machined down to suit your build.
they are also mirror polished tops.

Just to clear up the Wossner CR questions...............
Off the shelf Jano supplies them at 7.5:1 but Wossner do make them at standard CR 8.3:1

For the price of shot peening and a set of ARP bolts you might as well pay £330 for a set of steel rods. Someone mentioned Tom Starlet ran standard shot peened rods at 300bhp but personally I wouldn't run standard rods at anything past 200 when rods at so cheap.

Shot peening is £20 a rod ish and ARP's are £60 So call is £150 the lot.... So True for only £180 more i could have sexy rods, but im not running massive power (200ish) and for only x amount more i could have a cosworth?
What i mean is... you could say the same about anything, but fair point.

piston slap....? i hear its quite common with most forged pistons as the piston to bore tolerance has to be larger, so the skirt 'slaps'.
Not really a massive problem to be honest, more of an annoyance. I think this is why a lot of forged pistons now have that black teflon based coating on the skirts.
