Default Series 2 Brakes

Just bought myself a nice series 2 turbo but i personally think the brakes are rubbish.
Am going to do a brake fluid change in the next couple hoping to improve the brakes. The brakes have got grooved discs and green pads which the previous owner fitted

How easy is it to change the rear drums to discs without costing the world. Also as well as better brakes, think it looks alot nicer with rear discs

What parts would i need and any advice on where to get them from

Thanks
James
