Ooh i quite fancy one of these too, if they come with the standard mountings for the hinges that's handy, just the 2 pins to drill out. Bit of a hijack lol but does anyone do carbon tailgates as i'd really like one of those?!

i know carbon is stronger than metal but have heard stories of it getting damaged/ bend on the bonnets, is this true or is that just the build quality of the weave

Yep, it is Christians old car. Its just a skin as it was brought for my old car which didnt have a cage. For piece of mind a full replacement should be used with a role cage. The only difference between a skin and full replacement is a layer of foam which stops the roof flexing over the cut out section. The sunroof tray has been taken out so some weight has been saved in the roof department. If i had known before i brought the roof i was gonna be having another shell, i would of gone for full replacement. Costs Ł460 incuding A pillars...but expect a long wait.

mate that looks fantastic i was thinking about getting a bonnet before with my vents staying white and the roof skin just looks amazing and would look sweet with the bonnet quite like the sound of the tailgate and spoiler too and maybe door handles wing mirrors that sort of thing how hard was the roof skin to fit and the pillars Ł460 is very reasonable regardless of wait

you got any more pics buddy

+1 here too for a tailgate, definately. Group buy a possibility at all??? How much interest do they need before they'd consider making one?

So am i right in thinking the skin type just bonds to your existing roof?
and the replacement type just keeps strips along the side to bond a complete new roof to?
just wondering how each respective type is fitted?- very interested in getting a replacement roof at least.
gotta say i wouldn't be interested at all unless it was a full replacement.
would be great weight saving to offset the fitting of a cage
