Default measurement required please

hi all just a quick one for you all who have a series 2 erst that is in better condition than mine
finished replacing loom and now after what seems like a lifetime she starts but realised that i was low on fuel so went to put a jerry can full in and to cut a story short i completely destroyed the fuel cap area

i know what i need to do to repair it but i need 3 measurements

diameter of cicular opening on outer wing (i think its 105mm)
distance from outer wing to back of fuel cap area at the top
distance from outer wing to back of fuel cap area at the bottom

any help would be really appreciated as i really need to sort this soon

thanks in advance

Hi Ben

Your best bet would be to cut a good one from another car. 4" square from the cap itself will be good enough. Use as a template to cut out old one, butt weld in new one, grind back flush and a smear of filler and jobs a good un.

I know a good breaker who will have one for you.

Hi Ben

No worries mate.

Just got some measurements for you using my digital caliper.

External diameter of outer hole is 106mm
Internal diameter in inner hole is 56mm
Top measurement is 42mm from outer edge to inner edge
bottom measurement is 29mm from outer edge to inner edge

Hope this helps mate
