Default problems

borrowing me mates g-plate rs turbo over this weekend but there seems to be a problem. when u give it some the engine cuts back about 3-4000rpm aand theres no more go unless u let ya foot off then reapply. even then it only climbs a little until doing it again. its the same in every gear. almost like theres some sort of limiter cutting in. as far as he knows the car is completely standard other than a 3" magnex exhaust. any help would be brilliant

Sounds like over boosting! Got a boost gauge on it?

yea its over boosting mate!!it means the cars reached its maximum setting for the boost on the ECU, get a boost gauge and see how much its running, if its got a bleed valve turn it down or shut.
it will fill like someones slamed the brakes on (not actually breaking but accelerating)

the over boost cuts in at just over 10 psi on a standard ecu, so set it at 10 and it will be fine
