We map Martin Shorts Mosler (British GT car) and various drift-cars. We can get most stuff on, as long as it's not a piece of shit! LOL.
Our post-code is NR9 5SG, just make sure you book it first, we are busy as hell!! Also, I'm off for 2 weeks now, not that I'm the only one there! LOL.

bloody hell a lot of spec bashing going on here people.so what about bhp on a dyno its about how fast it is on the road.in regards to the aforementioned question i believe the gt2871r or the commonly named - disco potato would be the better choice can flow up to 350,maybe 370bhp with quick spool up,its what my m8 wants to get for his nissan 200sx s13,and you want the smallest turbo u can get away with really as less lag.hope this helpsjamie

Chritian, look what trouble you have made with you and Tim etc getting to the 300bhp barier. Now everyone can claim they can do it lol
I personally dont get the question of "what Turbo will get me 300bhp?" Surely it should be "heres my spec guys, what sort of Turbo would you suggest for my needs? I prefer drivability/accelration/top end power.....
Sounds more like building the car as a trophy to win freinds rather than your own personal enjoyment.!

Yes, power graphs.
I've lost count of the amount of times I've spec'd mine and been sure I'd got it all right, then I run it up and it just doesn't do it for whatever reason. Take the latest spec, it's got ALL the ingredients for 350bhp, but it's not done it and won't do it. 305bhp at 1.5 bar, 320bhp at almost 2.0 bar. Shockingly shite really.
I do know what the problem is right now and know what I have to do to fix it, but it's not easy. 350bhp from a 1600CVH isn't easy, thats a fact.
d4 rst - I'm still waiting for standard front top mounts for my Konis from a PF member who is sorting them for me. Until then I can't take the front Gaz's off. I'll update the for sale thread when they go on.

In all honesty mate i think it massively unlikely you'll find a turbo that makes the big bhp numbers without a fair bit of lag.....it's only a 1.6 8v engine remember, you'll have to compromise if you want a low lag engine.

Fella, sorry to be harsh, but you need to wake up. I bet my car that you CANNOT find a turbo that will have a decent amount of boost at 3000rpm and go on to do 300bhp, let alone 350.
Look at Tims graph, mine is roughly the same. At 3000 and even 3500rpm, there is fuck all. You aren't going to rewrite the rules.
If you want reponse, put a Stage 2 T3 on it and be happy with 225bhp (tops). If you want power, then join the rest of us with plenty or R&D ahead of you finding out what works and what doesn't. I for one aren't going to spill out whats worked for me as it's been a long slog finding out.
rstdave - As I mentioned earlier, the engine breezed 305bhp, but struggled for 320bhp. Somethings not right. I made a change yesterday, but haven't had a chance to dyno it yet. I get married this Friday, so its unlikely to happen in the next week or so. I'm hoping its the answer, we'll see I guess!!

Here is an old graph of my engine it may be a 2.0 but is still running a CVH head with a GT30.
The RPM trace is of little use(roller speed based not true RPM) due to wheel spin but you can compare the spool up of the turbo

I hear GT28's are a pretty good compromise between power and lag.... To be fair the best solution has got to be more cc's Less lag, more power for less boost etcetc = more reliable scort...
Why do posts always end up with some one getting in an arse.? what the fucking point. Some one has asked a question presumably because they need some advice. Just tell them they cant do it (like the very first post), tell them how to do it or shut the fuck up (because you don't know the answer).
Best of luck, i hope you make the power you want.

Morph mate, im not about to get involved in this argument, i don't know enough of the forum users and haven't been a member for long enough. But your getting a bad rap, give provoking people a rest for a while (not saying your right or wrong). That way in the future when you do need some help with something more people will be willing to give you a hand.... Rather than gang rape you with a big black dildo at FF next year.

Mine makes about 4 or 5 psi from about 3000rpm fair enough, but thats in no way useful boost really. It's at least 4000rpm before it really starts coming in hard.
I ran a GT28RS on mine about 3 years ago, was an OK turbo, but certainly wouldn't do the power mine is making now.
I'm looking forward to seeing some evidence of your car/spec/times Morph, since you seem to have all the answers.

You seem to have the ability to extract 300+ bhp from a T3 and get your car fully boosting by 3700rpm.
Alot of others have tried and failed to do this but you and only you can seem to do it.
Its time to put recent pics up of the car/engine bay and graphs.
Feel free to call me school boy names as you have been doing when you want to avoid giving the answers.

Sorry my friend, that is bollocks. So, are you saying that I (and all the other big power CVH boys) are doing it all wrong?

i am not saying other big bhp boys are wrong that is what you are implying!
is yours a modfied t3? if not how can you compare turbos? a t3 and t34 and gt28 all have different charcteristics!
Can't comment on the poweryour gt28rs was making or not making. but that seems to be the turbo aka gt2871 that peeps are saying will make upto 350 odd?

morph you either have the proof that we all have been asking for or your digging a very big hole for yourself.
