Default rs turbo runing hot & holding back on boost?????

just brought myself a series 1 rs turbo & brought it as a non runner.

got it running 2day & idels runs fine but it seems 2 rum 3/4 up the temp gauge & sumtimes nearer the top so i removed the thermostate & it still runs he same???????
after driveing it the water botle is bubbleing inside & has abit of pressure in it

also its holding back on boost, either it will rev up & hold 15psi & makes all the right noises but doesnt go anywhere???????????????? or it just holds back asif its chokeing itself???

thinking maybe headgasket gone between the cylinder & water way??? any idears???

maybe 2 seperate problems or just the 1?

any help would be great

cheers

sounds like 2 seperate issues i think mate, have u checked the fan is cutting in and if its round the right way? cause i have had some people refit them but having them spin the wrong direction!! other than that try running the water way thru by taking the top hose off and running a hose thru the top.

took car into fords alittlewhile ago & they put it on there hydrocarbon machine, headgasket is fine.

turns out the water bottle cap is fookerd causeing it 2 push all water out of bottle ovaflow b4 it gets chance 2 circulate & cool down, alo rad or engine block is blocked.

orderd new plugs leads cap rota arm & will get it rolling roaded soon 2 sort out boosting issues

15psi is a bit much if it's on std cooler, possibly a reason as to why it's so hot.

only if your flat out in fourth and fifth though. quick blasts are fine on mine like that. on the motorway or after about a mile on dual carriageways you see the temps rise.

yer & this is getting hot on tickova! steam cleaned out all rad, engine block & heater matrix 2day & fitted new temp sensor & it still runs at 3/4 temp (wit no thermostat in), fan seems 2 cut in just under the red. heaters are hot & water is circulateing?

doin my head in now, might just fit a new rad & see what that does as the cars been sat in a garage for 8 yrs due to headgasket failure & had new engine fitted & hadnt even been run untill i plummed it all up, so 8 yrs ago there was aproblem with it getting hot & the only original bits from running gear are water pump & rad so maybe the fault lyes there?
