Default cams

ok people i currently have kentcvh31 cam in my 1.6erst engine running 16-17 psi boost i made 203bhp and 203lb/ft torque but its all too late in the revs. i think cam timing is out so was gonna get it checked but seeing as i have a rather old cam there must b a newer better one?

i want power and torque as low as possible aint bothered as much about highest figure cos my main interest is sqm so could i please have suggestions?

ive read the kentcvh34/35 seems quite a popular choice, do piper doa cam the same?

pls help

everyone will say the piper t2 you gotta have 14+psi...but its popwer is later in the rev range..so no low down grunt..sorry...im after a cam kit meself and all i want is torque...heard of a P.E one that only gave 10bhp but 35ft/lb of torque....not sure how true this is,but know a few people on here dopnt rate them very much!

well there was a thing on the cvh36 in performance ford..it gave more torque than the T2 and had longer duration..as for the cvh34/35 i know a few people in here have them...but lots have the T2 and swear by them!

cvh31 is from 1500rpm to 6000rpm
cvh34/35/36 i think is between 2000rpm-7000rpm...but get adjuctable pulley and get them set up..that will make all the diff

I just put a 35K in mine but it not running yet so can't really tell youanything about it just now, sorry. I am hoping that it's going to be good in the low to mid range, I had heard from a few peeps before I bought the kit that this was the one ot go for. A lot of folk seem to love the Piper T2 though, although it doesn't come in till about 2500.
