the last couple of days i have bin out in my rs turbo cab.an there is a bad wineing noise,it dosent sound like its from the gearbox an the gear changes am mint,ive put a new clutch in it an new gearbox oil,the timing is abit out could it be this? it seems like the noise is underneath the car by the handbrake! any ideas would be great,or any body nows wot it is would be better.thanks craig

thanks guys,but its none of these! the engine is fresh rebuilt so its not that, jus hope its not the gearbox!

it could be the clutch release bearing, have ya got abs on ya cab

 

Not bein smart or nothing but did you upgrade the fuel pump and your only noticing the louder noise now?

 

i have taken the abs off but it was doin this noise when abs was on,the clutch release bearing is new but it could be that,but it sounds like its not from gearbox.but sayin that the noise comes when u change gear and drive along so it is a wineing noise.the fuel pump is still the same one.i think im guna av 2 take it sum where jus hope it a the gearbox because the car needs setting up on rolling road.thanks guys for the help

 

you could try and old trick and get a long screwdriver and touch the tip on the bell housing while the engine is running get someone to push the cluh in and out and listen through the screw driver for the squeeking, also check the tin plate on the back of the disks
