Could be several things. Most likely to be the load compensator valve on that particular side, swap it out or bypass them both (get a pipe made up) and see if it's any better. If not it could be a sticky caliper.

It won't change the bias front to rear. The load compensators just reduce the pressure to the rear calipers/drums based on how far the rear has lifted under braking.

If you then start to see over breaking on the rear (Usually only if you have std RST fronts and a disk conversion on the back) you will have to go down the bias valve route, but this means re-plumbing the system.

REAR disc conversions on rst's are a aload of crap! i have it on my car, not my choice came with car and when braking hard the back end starts to snap! i used willwood brake bias valves to sort it out, would have been easy sticking with drums!

I've always wondered, why people always fit the bigger of the two Sierra rear disc sizes and then complain about overbraking in the rear.

Get rid of the rear compensators, and just run a fixed pressure to the rears via a bias valve. Then that will eliminate the question of faulty compensators.
Defiantly check the calipers, could well have one that is sticky. Worth checking as you don’t want to take chances when the breaks are involved.
But dont be put off by the haters, if its done correctly and tackfully, the rear disk conversation on S2 works very well. Also think about the brakes at the front, it will help if you go for some bigger stuff, or imo cossie stuff as a minimum with rear disks.
Good luck mate.

Cheers

Hear hear! It is only a problem when rear disks are used with std fronts, as this alters the bias.
