by the time you that comes out of the garage, all the weight saving things you have done on it you would have put back on with moths.

If you went with the 15" wheel option the tyres r888's or simlar would work out quite alot cheaper which to me would be a big bonus....

Prices from the Reyland site

Theres not many good tyres available for 16s im finding at the moment.

I have 7j 16" OZ's and cannot really find much available. I have 195/40 16 Toyo T1-Rs at the moment but want a wider footprint.

I've found you can get 225/40 16 R888s ..I'm just not sure if the wheels are wide enough to fit the tyres properly though.

Don't know about 17's bein piss poor on track mate....you've found this when and with what tyres??!! I ran 15's and r888's for the last couple of years and bit the bullet and put r888's on my 17's and think there's a definate improvement over the 15's. Car handles really well, has improved traction out of tight corners/chicanes and generally seems to corner flatter. Of course this is just my opiinion/findings, also found it a pain altering the ride height settings etc when i swtched from my 17's to 15's for track.
